Unsung words written when I was brave enough to hold a musical instrument....
If You Could...
(for E.R.W)
My eight arms are outstretched again
Raking all I've done back in–
So many things will remain unsaid
So many memories hanging by a thread
Could you still be my friend
When I become another me?
I might look a little bit differently
But you'd see really I'm still the same
Just looking for that Dream again
That's been floating 'round inside my head
Is anyone gonna follow me this time?
I turn around, no one's ever in line
So I hope you'd let me take your hand
Because I cannot let you go
Even though it's what you're supposed to do
Never getting close at all
I'd show you what I think I want to be
And I'll tell you what I hear and what I see
Then Maybe we could figure it all out
And answer every question with a Song
Have you ever tried to hold the Sky?
Or Sing the setting Sun down to sleep?
Did you ever try to put to words
Thoughts that you would never ever speak?
(chorus)
Is this me?–
If you're around I know I can say yes;
Is this me?–
When you're around you know I will say yes.
Inside those silences,—you know, what's wrong
Behind those sunglasses,—you know, too much
Behind those silences,—you know, we're gone.

The Edge of the World
.I.
An Angel of Time has finally arrived
And holding her hand is the only way to survive
I ask her could this be Heaven, or is this Hell
She seems surprised that I cannot tell
Well I have some things I've been thinking about
Wild birds flying through light grey noise—
With Angels around Heaven seems pretty close
Then the Sun comes up and kills, all, hope
Time passes hitting me right in the head
Then she laughs me to sleep,
We're silently given the most beautiful song
And sung in the Perfect Key
(chorus)
It's how we are, it's who we are,
dancing flames
so maybe, i'll see you
at the edge, of the world,
again.
.II.
I am this song.
I am.
I sing.
And you won't mind
if I fuck up a word or two
And I won't mind
'cause we'll sing it through
No we won't mind
if you sing it too—

Star Dancer
(for E.R.W.)
(verse)
I dreamt of dancing with a Star
Under a bright black sky
And I didn't say a word
But felt the World through Her eyes
And the Touch of the Dance
Had me floating in the air
As our Bodies become Free
As soon as Happiness is there
(chorus)
Oh why, does the Ground,
Keep me Down?
Is that Magic Sky, really all,
that High?
(verse)
I dreamt of being Tall
With my head up in the Clouds
As I walked across the Ground
I saw this Star Above it All
How it sparkled, how it shined
I was sure to soon be Blind
So I took the Chance and Reached
And Landed right by her Side
(chorus)
And then, to my surprise,
I saw more
And then, to Her surprise,
We were More.
(verse)
Now I rest upon a Bed
Its Frame a wrought iron Ghost
But I've Danced with a Star
And that's what matters most
And I know She remembers
Since I look up Through the Sky
And Every Night I'm able
To see that Sparkle in her Eye.

P.S.
....So good night,
sweet dreams,
may the Motion,
Never End—

The Cauldron Song
Head up high in the cauldron clouds
I climb this song to You
And through all the Noise I can hear the sound
Of us chanting the Ancient Tune
Rich with Songs, I've always longed
For the Angels to sing with me
But our time is always wrong
Except to Forever Be.
As the Wind picks up and sings along
It carries the Sound to You
But when you hear it, I'll be gone–
We've just been passing through
And all this time I'd swear I saw the day
Through the trees and the Rising Sun
When we planned to never End–
Now I know to this you'll sing along
So run with me into the Blinding Sun
The Past is about to Begin
And when we stop, we'll forever be
Sewn completely, tightly in
To the Fabric of Eternal Time
And a Love which knows no bounds
Even though it was brief, it was a grand old time
I'm glad we got to make the rounds
And all day long I hear the Cauldron Song
And the ringing of the Ancient Bell
And sometimes faintly I can hear you Sing
But I really never can tell
And all through Time we stir the Cauldron Song
As it Boils over Eternal Fire
Its Vapour condensing chaotically
Whenever a Dreamer is given the Power
And all night long I hear the Children's sounds
As they Kill and Build their Worlds
Then all day flying through the Cauldron Clouds
Are their arrows and the Wild Birds
And with a head up high in the Cauldron Clouds
I've climbed this Song to You
And through all the Noise I can hear the Sound
Of our laughs and our cries in Tune
And all through the Noise I can hear is the Sound
Of us chanting our Ancient Tune.
And all through the Noise I can hear is the Sound
Of us chanting the Ancient Tune.

.5.
Hundred Year Song
for one hundred years
I've waited for this Song
and never before
have I been helpless, been so wrong
it all came crashing down
the Pillars with the Crown
these notes are darker than
I ever could imagine then
oh where did it go?
the hope I always had
to love the way it is
now the chords are much too sad
one hundred years ago
I found the Singing Tree
the winter was far too long
the leaves have not grown back
but for one hundred years
I've waited for this song
I never thought it would take this long
I never knew I had this song
